 Wells and Water Quality

Eastern Highlands Health District, in cooperation with the State Department of Consumer Protection, is responsible for ensuring that on-site water wells are installed and maintained in a sanitary manner.  Well permits are needed for new wells, deepening existing wells, hydrofracting, geothermal wells, well abandonment etc.  A licensed well driller will submit the permit to EHHD, with the appropriate fee.  If paying by check, the check should be made out to EHHD.  Alternatively, payment may be submitted online.  The link for the online portal is:  easternhighlandshealthdistrict.viewpointcloud.com

The form should be mailed to to EHHD, 4 South Eagleville Road, Mansfield, CT 06268.
