HEALTH EDUCATION AND PROMOTION

Two of the main goals of public health are to promote wellness and prevent disease. In an effort to promote wellness in EHHD communities, the health district has made available various programs, initiatives, and resources that seek to improve access to health in as many of the dimensions of wellness as possible. Our health promotion programs are offered through community partnerships, grant support and organizational contracts. Click on the links on the left side of the page to read more about specific health promotion activities in the EHHD.

If your school, community, or organization needs resources or your initiative could use the support of the EHHD, please contact the Community Health and Wellness Coordinator at 860-429-3325 or email.
